Last night I cooked supper for my hubby. Now he normally talks about how good my cooking is. Yesterday it was spaghetti I decided to make from scratch. Normally it is a quick out of a jar sauce. Well I decided to make sauce from scratch. Aaron when he got home from work ate the spaghetti and all of a sudden "Wow, this is the best spaghetti I have tasted." It got a laugh out of me because normally he says this is good stuff. Now you have to picture a 30 year old man with not an inch of fat on him gobbling down 2 huge plates of food in less than 20 minutes. Anyway, my question is is there something that surprised you even though your spouse has done it for you good or bad.

I've been married a year and the surprises are not that frequent - my husband is very predictable and that's one of the things I really love about him. I almost exactly know how he's going to react to things. Now if I actually cooked for him - THEN he would be surprised - but see, I already know that.

My ex-husband decided, after a few years of marriage, to become an abusive junkie who, eventually, shot me.

Now, THAT was a surprise.

Of course! We're all always growing and changing as people and that's part of what makes marriage fun!

My husband shocked me a year ago when he asked me to teach him to knit. I never expected that, though I knew he appreciated my knitting. Now he's finished three scarves and a hat!
