...or waiting in line anywhere for that matter?

Queuing is a quintessential part of life in the UK, and I'm used to it too. I can get deliriously happy in line at the ASDA or Tesco, though it depends on who I am with and whether or not I have forgotten my debit card. the positive thing about a queue is I can't overtake anyone. This forceful calm down really prevents me from getting a heart attack or the like. In the London Underground for example, I am the sort of git who flies past the lines on the escalators, even overtaking people who walk up or down. I always get off the bus or metro a stop late, which means a brisk walk is required.. And in shopping streets I have less shame still. I'm 6'7 and athletic and agile enough to really really scare people who dare carry a shopping bag either side of their immense thighs.

I used to dread going to the DMV until I move to Nebraska. I have now gone 4 or 5 time since moving here and I have never waited longer than 5 minutes and everyone has been pleasant.

The DMV is truely a lower level HELL and even though our time in there is relatively brief, it scares us straight and we generate a new appreciation of our lives.
