It depends on what kind of developing you plan to do. Residential or Commercial? However with that amount of cash any type of developing will be difficult. The best way is to start by finding a group or a single investor who has the cash to back your expertise.
The next step is to make friends with a real estate agent. I do not mean use one if you don't want to but a friend who can advise you on location and price and what to buy is priceless. When you get that far come and see me for some more advice.

£7000 wont get you far, honestly. Its alot more hard work than people think. you do realise you want always make profit. alot of people are into it. some succeed some fail. think of it long and hard.
