How easily I forget all of this stuff!
Glycogen is the storage form of glucose...I thought it was because, as animals eat food containing glucose, the energy that is not readily used is converted into glycogen to be stored in the body for later use.

Glycogen actually stores more energy in the configuration is has than a single molecule of glucose. It's your body's way of saving space.
