Technically, you are SUPPOSE to be able to conceive only 3 days out of the month. It takes your uterus about 2 weeks to ready itself for pregnancy, then you are fertile. After those three days, if no fertile egg is present, the uterus starts making plans over the next two weeks to get rid of it's lining. Thats when you get your period.

Like I said, "technically". But there is always an exception to every rule. Catholics use to use the "rhythm method" for birth control, abstaining from sex during the fertile period of time. Hope this helps. Godloveya.

The chances are pretty good. The "normal" time for ovulation is 2 weeks after the first day of your last period, but all women are different. Your cycle could have had you ovulate a week before your period, so you really should take a test in a few weeks to be sure.

Ovulation almost always occurs 2 weeks prior to your next period. The variation in women's cycles can usually be attributed to the difference in length of time between the first day of your period, and ovulation. Women with shorter cycyles may ovulate shortly after their period, but will still get their next period between 11 and 14 days after ovulation.
This being said, it is still possible to get pregenant just before you think your period is due, if your cycle has been thrown off for some reason and you ovulated later then ususal.

Most women ovulate about 14 days before the first day of their menstrual cycle. So, if your period begins Oct 31, you probably ovulated around Oct 17th. Once the eggs is released, it survives for a very short period of time (only about one day). So, if you had intercourse only 7 days before your period was due, it is unlikely the egg was still around to be fertilized. Try to relax, and try testing around the time your period is due. Good luck! By the way, timing intercourse around ovulation is not a reliable method of birth control. Next time have birth control decided on before sex. It is much less stressful.

Your "chances" are exactly 50:50. You will either get pregnant or you won't get pregnant. However, your "odds" of getting pregnant are elevated during that time, so you are more likely of falling into the group that gets pregnant. This is a specific question with a definitive and accurate answer.....your chances are 50:50!

Very, very good. I believe that's when most women ovulate, so that's when you're at your most fertile.
