You need a Male to Male VGA Monitor Cable or a S Video cable. I prefer the VGA monitor cable, I use this cable to connect my laptop to my LCD flat panel TV.
You can try both... the cables are inexpensive.

It depends on the TV - If you have a newer flat screen or plasma tv - They have VGA and DVI connectors on them.
VGA is the same type connection you hook your monitor to, so you could get a new graphics card with double hook up, or just unhook your monitor and use your tv as your monitor/tv in one. If you want to use DVI connection you would need a graphics card that has the connection, same with S-Video.
If you have an older TV , S-Video is really the only option.
If your Video/Graphics card doesnt have any of these options you would need to purchase a new one.

Hi. I assume you want sound too. The S-video cable is just picture. If your video card supports the standard "F" type connector then try this. (The F-type is standard cable. Picture in not going to be great.)

Why dont you just play it in a stand alone dvd player that hooks too the tv.

Well if the movie is downloaded and you have a dvd player hooked up too your tv already then just burn the movie too a blank dvd disk and the play it on your player hooked too your tv.

You need more than a cable dear.....you will need video out on your PC. Get out your PC manual and find out if it has this feature. If it doesnt, you will either need a video card with tv out or a usb tv out device.
