The Simpsons is easily the better show. Family Guy isn't even funny and on the very rare occasions when it is, they carry the joke on for way too long until it just becomes annoying. The quality of the animation and the voices on the Simpsons are far superior and so are the storylines. It sucks that Futurama got cancelled and Family Guy got brought back. Whoever made that decision needs a kick in the head.

The Simpsons. Because they were first. Plus the whole family in Family Guy are basically fat a s s e s and it promotes obesity. Ha.

I think the Simpsons are a better to watch family, mostly because Homer actually loves his kids.He actually spends time with them (yes he strangles Bart, but that's discipline!), he'll cart Lisa around to the museum and umm..he has the photo montage of Maggie on his wall at work.

all depends on your sense of humor.
family guy tends to have lots of jokes that are unrelated to the story. they often start with "remember that time when..." basically, it's a collection of animated one-liners.
the simpsons are a little more story driven, though they HAVE been known to use the "completely random madness" style often enough. also, the simpsons have grown up a lot - it used to be like "wow, homer got hit with something and fell down, lolz" and now they get a little more intelligent or racy with their humor.
i like both shows for what they are.

I've never been able to sit through an entire episode of family guy, it was annoying, so the simpsons have my vote..

The griffins on family guy i like better because the conflicts are better and the characters are more intresting. I also like the storylines better and the intraction that the characters have between one another, especially the relationship between stewie and Brian and the hate the Stewie has for his mother.

the humour used in family guy is way more out there, and targeted at an adult audience, I'd have to say family guy for sure!
