It supposedly depends on which hand you write with. If you are left-handed, it should go on the right wrist, and the other way around if you are right-handed. But you should do what is comfortable for you. I'm left-handed and I wear my watch on my left wrist, just because that's what I like, so you should just try it out on both wrists, and go with what feels most comfortable.

There is no right or wrong answer. Just as men wear watches on either wrist so can women.
It may be because they are left/right handed. It may be a comfort thing. Some occupations may make it awkward to wear it on certain sides.
Wear it wherever you like.

Depends if the woman(or man) is right-handed or left-handed. Quite honestly, it's personal preference.

Does it matter? I have mine on my left wrist because it's more comfortable for me.

The one just adjacent to the woman's hand.
I also concur with "opposite to the dominant hand," but I tend to be comfortable -- though it does get in the way at times and I wish I wasn't inclined to do it that way -- with it the opposite way from that.
