Heeeeellllllllllllll Noooooooo................. Ewan is good in his star trek costume. Not a Tuxedo or Versace. The same way which goes for Rock and Johny Bravo it should have been Branden Fraser.

Daniel Craig was AMAZING in Layer Cake, i have yet to see a Ewan McGregor performance i actually enjoyed.
As for Bond acters being too well known, Peirce Brosnon was plenty famous before he took to playing Bond.
I'm pretty confident the Daniel will do a good job as Bond, i think Clive would also, but if you anti Daniel Craig folks out there are so outraged that he is playing Bond, dont watch it.

I agree with Tony. Ewan McGregor will probably be a plausible candidate for Bond in a few years. I'm kinda dreading going to see Casino Royale coz I'm not even 007% (ha) sold on Daniel Craig as Bond. He hasn't got half the charisma that Pierce Brosnan had, just Ice water running through his veins (by the looks of the mood he always seems to be in the promo shots). I can't see him filling the role for long.

I love Ewan McGregor's work, but he may be a bit too young & peppy still. Bond needs to be just a bit of an older, distinguished, smooth-operator type. Hopefully Daniel will live up to the Bond image but time will tell.
I think Clive Owen would have been brilliant, but what are you gonna do?
Whenever I think Ewan McGregor, I think "Trainspotting", my favorite Ewan role. Not too "Bondian", tho! :) Cheers

I think Ewan would have been "too pretty" and looked a bit too young. Give Craig a chance. Ya never know? btw, Roger Moore was well known when he took over after George Lazenby's one stint in "Bond" franchise (incidentally Casino Royale) as Simon Templar "the Saint". Maybe in a few years when Ewan grows older he'll be the perfect candidate.

i think ewan would have been ok, but i agree with whoever it was that said clive owen would have been better. I do like daniel craig but i don't think he'll do any justice to the charecter and not to mention that he is blond and bond should not be blond, i do think it is good there is an englishman playing bond but i maintain that the best bond was certain sexy as hell scottish actor by the name of sean connery. all hail sir connery. !!!

no, Ewan is too well known to be a bond...saying that, Craig looks like he'll be a rubbish Bond. I wish Clive Owen said yes when they asked him to be Bond. Hugh Jackman would of been a good choice too.

OF COURSE. the difference between them is that ewan mcgregor can sing, dance and is absolutely bonne and adorable, whereas daniel fatty craig is a freak who (oo) kissed sienna miller (snaps for him, NOT) and has sticky out ears...
