March of 06 I purchased a Creative Zen Sleek black and white screen for about 200.00. I loved this because it had a fm tuner built in and most mp3's do not, and I used to tune into the tv's at the gym. However just recently it stopped playing and froze up. I don't know maybe my kids broke it I don't know however Creative doesn't have a lot of accessories for their products which I find kind of disapointing.
When my Sleek broke I went to Best Buy to pick up another MP3 player the newer version of the sleek..the color photo however it was not in stock. So since the current price of the sleek 20gb and the Ipod 30gb both were the same price I thought I'd try the Ipod.....I LOVE IT! the pics are great it stores movies, tons of accessories. I never thought I'd love it as much as my Creative however I can do without the FM tuner with all the other options my IPOD has. Now I know why there is this IPOD Craze. Currently the 30 gig IPOD is onsale at Circuit City and Best Buy for about 249.00 I wouldn't pay more than that but 179-250 you should be able to get a quality MP3 Player. I wouldn't go any less than 4gbs as then you run into the problem that you will want to add more and you'll have to take off music. I started with the lower MP3's and found that discouraging, and pricey sound cards ended up being about the same price as the bigger hard drive mp3s. Hope this helps

Dont get an IPOD, they are pretty nice players, but they RIP YOU OFF price wise...seriously if u want just the same quality and way better value, go with the Creative Line

I have the Creative Zen V (100$, Now 90$ @ Walmart) Has exact same features as Ipod, and even have voice and line in recording, and u can change your backround! Is much cheaper for same amount of space (1GB, 2GB, 4GB) EVEN THE 4 GB IS CHEAPER THAN APPLES 2 GB NANO!!!

If you want a video player, there is a Zen V Plus, but for videos i would recommend the Zen W, or Zen Vision M. Ipod Video only has 2 hours of Video playback, the vision M has up to 120 Hours..you do the math.

Here is the Creative Zen V, its cheaper at your local walmart... that link is listed below this one.

After iTunes, my nicely-familiar is Amazon MP3. the charges are inexpensive, the alternative is powerful, and the common is severe. i lately tried Rhapsody and their save became into large. They even assist you to hear to finished songs interior the previous you purchase (regardless of the shown fact which you in certainty get 25 streams a month). yet Rhapsody's album artwork isn't as severe severe high quality as yet another shops and their costs are such as iTunes ($9.ninety 9 in accordance to album, ninety 9 cents in accordance to trace).
