My Scion Tc does not seem that great on gas.. anyone else have this problem?

Heavy foot! ... the gas mileage rating assumes you gradually accelerate not just slam the pedal down when you drive. Fill up and drive normally then the next time you fill up slowly accelerate you may notice people fly by you but if you compare the mileage from both fill ups you'll notice the mileage go up.
