How long it takes to get the results back from a pap smear?

About 2-3 weeks, but the philosophy on this one is, if there is nothing wrong or abnormal, they don't usually call back

Depending on your health care system it can range from a few days to a few weeks. At Kaiser, you can get them approx. 3 days later. You call and ask for your lab results. They usually send a letter with the results also within a few weeks.

The length depends on the place that you have it done.. some places may take a few weeks and others may take a month or two.. Are you worried about it for some reason?

It always took my OBGYN about two weeks before I heard results. One time I heard sooner, but there was a concern. It turned out fine.
