i get that sometimes but don't know the reason why, any one cares to explain?

Yeah, I get it when I get out of my truck. When any material that has cotten or wool in it rubs against polyester, it causes static electricity. And if you touch a metal, or a plastic that has metal underneath, you get zapped. If you're in your house and you get zapped, put a humidifier in the problem spot. For some reason, having humidity higher than 65% will prevent you from getting those electric shocks.

For the past week, all the damn time! I hate it!
And I think the reason is because I ran out of dryer sheets!
Help!♥ I'm gonna get shocked to death!lol

static electricity.
friction from your body on chairs, carpets and such cause static to build up in your body. then when you touch something metal the static electricity jumps from you to the metal. that's because metal is a better conductor for electricity than your body. so it jumps from you to the metal.
the reason it jumps from you to another person is because if they have less static than you do, then some of your static will jump to them. and vice versa when it jumps to you.

Sometimes when it's windy or when you walk on carpet you can cause a shock when you touch someone.

yes and i hate it.it's because the air doesn't have any moisture in it.this happens when we turn on our heat
