Sara is does bite that life is hard sometimes, and from what you said it's obvious that you're going through a tough spot and that you're hurting. You know, sometimes a good cry is just the thing. It can help you "clean out" a lot of bad emotions that are tying you up inside. So go for it. Shut the door and cut loose. Cry your eyes out, scream into the pillow, if it helps hit the pillow over and over and hit it good and hard. You'll be surprised at how much better it might actually make you feel.
Now, let's talk about the stuff that making your life hard. School is supossed to be tough, just like bball practice. Just like bball practice gets your body ready for a game and the harder practice is the better for you when game time rolls around, school is practice for your mind and the harder you can practice your mind at 14 the smarter you'll be when you're out of school. So just hang in there and realize that you've only got a few more years of school to practice your brain and then you'll be out in the grown up world and you'll only be as smart as your schooling has made you.
Now, about those girl friends and their drama with boys, just let that be THEIR drama. YOu can say, "hey, I love you, you're my friend and I'm sorry you're having problems with that guy but I've got to study, (or go to practice or do whatever it is mom is trying to get you to do). There are thing you can influence and things you can't. Don't sweat the things that are really out of your control, like how some stupid guy and your friend are getting along.
Best of luck to you, and give that cry thing a try.

Life is supposed to be hard. If it was easy then everyone would want to live.
Life is what you make it. let me clue you in on something. Your age is the crummiest, most miserable period you'll experience as a teenager. This is because is raging hormones and when you start to finally develop your feelings and emotions.
So...you'll also find that in another couple of years these so called "friends" of yours will be no more a part of your life than Madonna or George Bush. You getting me on this? Your mother is doing what's right for you. You may not like discipline and being told what to do but that's all a part of life too so don't screw it up and make her disappointed in you.
By the time you reach 16 things will have settled down considerably. At 18 this will be a distant memory and I assure you at 23 or 25 you won't even want to talk to these 'friends' let alone even acknowledge their existence.
Buck up pal! Life being hard hasn't even made it to you yet. What you're experiencing is "cruel". Wait until job, car payment, insurance payments, mortgage, clothing, utilities...shall I go on? Wait until they make an appearance in your life. Not being able to buy the new X-Box game is small potatoes.
Good luck. You'll do fine. Just listen to your mother 9and father if he's available) and stay on the straight and narrow.

1. Count your blessings. You get to ski & play bball! You get an education. You have a home to live in, interesting things to talk to people about, food to eat, a mother, and most of your life to look forward to.
2. Get some real friends. Extend your social circle, because it's important to meet friends who treat you like a friend. Part of life is learning what we want from other people, and these two so-called friends aren't meeting your needs. Now you know. Find some new ones!

Think if you finish the school and have to support yourself and pay all the bills, how difficult life is going to be. You don't know where you are, the frustration have no reason you just complicated your life. Change the view on the life, and enjoy your age.

OK first thing. Fewer abbreviations would be handy. It makes you sound stupid and lazy and I'm sure you're not. Secondly, that just what it's like when your a teenager, especially if you're a girl. I'm sorry that it's hard, but you should know it will get better.

Life is generally hard because of the bad choices made by people who have an effect on our lives... and/or by the bad choices we ourselves make in life.
