Could anyone recommend a good book or website on this topic? I've looked around on the net but there seems very little info on this, which I find hard to believe. Any hints would be really appreciated. Thanks!

It's not specificly Irish/Celtic, but it's still really good. "Cunningham's Encyclopedia of Magical Herbs" by Scott Cunningham is really good. It has all the lore about many, many herbs, and also info about toxicity, etc. It's not specific uses for food or anything, but more of a magical aspect. I hope that's the kind of thing you're looking for!

Any major bookstore would carry it.

I got this book for christmas, It's called Earth Power, by Scott Cunningham.
Go to a new age store, or a celtic shop, they will have books galore.
I have bunch of them back home, the Earth Power is what I brought to work.
