What you've described is NOT slander. Slander is when someone says something that's NOT TRUE about you to someone else and it causes you some sort of distress. Unfortunantly, there's no law against lying, unless you're in court. Though you may not be being slandered, you may just well be being 'harrassed', which IS against the law... However, to prove harrassment on the internet will be hard, since email programs and im programs give you the option to BLOCK the harassing offender. If you don't block them, and/or stay in contact with them/ and/or allow them access then the harassment will be hard to prove. Keep copies of all emails, message logs, etc where this harassment has taken place. good luck! :-)

If people believe it then they are weak minded fools. Sorry if this upsets you but just put out some counter slander on there and see what happens. You know post your own ****.

I think the cops can prosecute but you have to do a lot of legwork to get their ISP, etc. report them to their internet provider sometimes they'll cut them off.

The quicket way out, either find a way to ignore/avoid them or simply use the 'block' feature.
