Well, it could be. But considering your age, it could be some kind of anxiety disorder, or maybe even gas. I have heard that high blood pressure can cause pain in the middle of your chest, just behind the breastbone. But it might be best to have it checked. Probably would ease your mind also. Hope this helps. Good Luck!

Hi, whenever you have a feel of pressure in the middle of your chest, it is best to see your doctor as soon as you can. It could be something minor and easily treatable or a sign of something more serious. But only your Dr. can find out for sure by running the appropriate tests. Please call and make an appointment, you will feel better just knowing what the problem is.
Good luck

I, as well have been having chest pains. I am 26 and I know that I am overweight. I wonder if that has to do with it. I also just quit smoking recently, which has helped the chest pains a lot. I think that maybe the smoking had a lot to do with the pains, but I'm not sure exactly what it is. I know that it is scary!

It could be a sign of a cholesterol or high blood pressure problem. Have your cholesterol and BP checked.

If they are normal then it most likely is acid reflux or indigestion. For acid reflux or indigestion try over the counter prilosec, also ask your pharacist for help with over the counter meds. They often are excellent resources.

It could be a variety of things.
Unless you've had a history of heart problems I doubt it's heart related problems. I could be pneumonia or bronchitis. Get it checked out.
