Monterey Movie Tours [See source for making reservations.]

This excellent, all-day tour starts in front of the Convention Center in downtown Monterey, near Fisherman's Wharf. Nearly 200 movies (e.g., My Friend Flicka, East of Eden) were made in and around Monterey.

Many of the scenes in these high quality films were filmed on location in and around Monterey. Monterey Movie Tours takes you to a lot of those locations. It also takes you along 17 Mile Drive to see multimillion dollar mansions and Pebble Beach where Bing Crosby once sponsored the Pro Am gold tournament. You can grab a quick lunch at the Pebble Beach Club House...their chili is excellent.

As you ride in a comfortable A/C coach, scenes of the movies are played on a nearby DVD screen so you can see the scenes in the movies while you drive by the location where those scenes were filmed. This is one of the best tours I've ever taken...period...Monterey or not.
