You confront her of course...and then keep your personal thoughts to yourself since she obvioulsy can't be trusted.

Absolutly confront her. But do it in a nice way. There is a chance that she really isn't talking about you (unless you actually heard her). People like to cause problems so the only way you can get some more answers to to be honest and ask her about it.

First of all that is not a best friend. And why give her the time of day, next time she tries to talk to you hand up or do tell her that you are through associating with her because you no longer trust her to keep your confidences.

I don't know if confronting her would be the best idea. You know she will probably deny it. I would just distance myself from her, she will get the idea. A friend like that is something you don't need. Always surround yourself with people and things that lift you up in life, not bring you down.

Talk to her about it and depending on her answer you will know if you want to continue the friendship. If you are sure she is saying things and you don't want to comfront her, stop talking and hanging out with her and she will soon get the picture. Sometime actions speak louder than words.

Definitely. I would tell her that we cannot be friends anymore because you have found out that she is talking about you behind your back. Give her examples. I believe that you need to forgive her for hurting you because you don't want that hurt and anger building inside of you but you need to cut her out of your life completely.

haha! this happened to me and I confronted her. She lied about it but I made it VERY clear that I knew word for word what she said.... she freaked out, yelled at me, and then begged me to be her friend again. I said no. $h|t talking friends are not friends at all!!! BOOOOOO to "friends" who do that! Kick them out of your life for good.
