Right around week 10 they start getting some respect and mentioned as a serious contender. Until then all the focus will be on the Bears.

When they get the the super bowl and then win it. It doesn't matter how good you are if you never go to the big game. I am not saying that Indy isn't the best team playing right now but until they go to the super bowl and then win the super bowl they will not get the respect they deserve. I think about the oilers in the 80's with Earl Campbell and Warren Moon. Great team that is never mentioned with other great teams because they failed to make it to the super bowl. The Bill's are in the same situation. They made it to the super bowl but never won it. Even though they had some great teams they still won't get the respect they deserved because of it.

I think everyone is being cautious because of the Colts' repeated playoff failures of the past several seasons. They've started hot before, only to be exposed by teams like the Pats and Steelers come January.

When they win an AFC title, and especially if they beat the Patriots in a playoff game, they'll get that respect. Until then, they'll just be considered a good regular-season team that can't get it done in the playoffs.

Because they are listed as a contender every year and choke!
When they actually win it, they will get the respect, and not until.

Huh? They consistently get nothing but respect. It's just that eventually people get tired of watching them beating up weak teams and racking up Manning's stats only to lose to a good defense in the playoffs.

When they win a Super Bowl and stop chocking in the playoffs. Such is the price of previous success.

I think they will have to get there first.
It is the same thing year after year with the Colts, very good offense & being kind let's just call it a limited defense.

well they have a way of being strong in regular season but fail in the playoffs. Respect must be EARNED so tell them to go win it and my hat will be off to them...
