If you go to any store that sells Halloween makeup you can get this powdery liquid makeup that does not rub off. It's a little bit like liquid foundation (in a tube) that turns matte and finishes like a powder. You add a bit to a sponge and dab it onto your skin (sparingly) then it sort of dries. It doesn't smear off and look goopy like a lot of those clay based Halloween make-ups do. It stays on and doesn't rub off onto your costume or other people.

if the blush u tryed made u look like a carrot u may want to try a different color blush to get the red u want. Or u can try some lipstick or some other makeup product. Hope that helps.

Go as a burnt carrot? That would be novel. Put some palm fronds in a green hat sticking straight up. lol
I'm going to dress all in black and glue pictures of baby chickens all over me- I'll be a chick magnet!

but a lot of cheap red eyeshadow (think dollar store or a no name brand at wallmart type store) and mix it with moisturizer. that way you can adjust the color and not dry out your skin :) it'll wash off with soap and water at the end of the night!

i think the make up is your onley choice but if you use a sponge to apply and only put it were skin shose then i think that sould help and i sugjest that you use normal face paints not anything else
