DD214 is a military release document that shows how you were discharged from the military. If you were not in the military you will not have one and if you were you would know what it is. It is an important document for ex military.

The only dd214 form I know of is the discharge form from the military. Having a son on social security disability, I have never run across a dd214 for social security.

The only thing that a DD214 has to do with Social Security is that it can be used to verify your SSN. Otherwise, all it does is provide evidence that you have been successfully out-processed from the military and the status (like Honorable).
