It is just part of being pregnant. This is caused because there is alot more weight than normal. Your body does not know how to handle it. I have gained 15 lbs and am 26 weeks pregnant. and my feet and legs hurt by the end of the day.

I don't know if I have the same kind of pain as you. My pain feels like it is in the bone, not the muscle. My doctor told me that it was caused by my bones shifting in preparation for birth and nerves being exposed. Tell your doctor about this, it could be something serious like a blood clot, but it could just be part of the pregnancy.

Well, honey I know exactly what you are talking about because my legs ached and felt like they were asleep! I ended up talking to my docter about it and she referred me to another docter that specialized in this area. She told me it was RLS-Restless Leg Syndrome. All I could really take was Tylenol because I was pregnant but, this is what you are talking bout. It went away after I had my baby. I just had to put up with the pain! I wish you luck with your pregnancy!

It is probably just that the baby is now gaining weight. The extra weight is like sandbags that you can't put down and your legs are getting tired. Make sure you sit down and get your feet up. Also, make sure that you tell your doctor- they should know everything.

You might ask your doctor about this..but I had a friend who had "Restless Leg Syndrome" I'm not sure what all of the symptoms of it are...but it goes away after birth. Maybe thats all it is....

when not pregnant, i take calcium supplements to stop leg cramps and it really helps. however, in my first pregnancy, i got SEVERE cramps in my calves and i couldn't bear it. that was supposedly due to the baby pressing on a major artery in my legs!
