Just watched 5 news where a taliban leader dude said they are going to kill us all, do these losers think they will get away with such idle threats or could they be up to the job? and if you live in a place like London does it concern you what with Xmas coming along this will give them an ideal opportunity to cause mass disruption and maybe even deaths. Also how well do you think the security services will cope?

It is impossible for a 21st century society [however warped in some ways] developed over 21 centuries to communicate or understand the mindset of societies which have remained largely unchanged for hundreds of years.

The only change to hit these societies is wealth and materialism with the discovery of oil and drugs.

The best solution is for all Western forces to evacuate from these countries and let them return to their former environments and tribal warring.

Those who wish to become immigrants to Western countries would do so on the understanding that they wish to leave behind their attitudes and traditions which are alien to those of their new host countries and melt into the society which they are joining.

To offset the anticipated numbers, those who have been shown not to fully support the standards, traditions, culture and law of their host country should be returned to their original homeland where they will be more at one and able to continue their traditional ways of life without Western cultural influences.

We would just need a solution for those born here who hate living amongst us, and plan to kill us any which way they can - all in the name of Islam which is grossly unfair on those who have been able to integrate into our society by simply joining in and being as one with us.

We're English and aren't bothered by such silly little men. Remember we ran an empire encompassing a third of the world for many hundreds of years so we know how to deal with crazed tribal idiots.

Cast your mind back to the London bombings, we didn't panic or make a fuss we just got on with helping the victims and catching the perpatrators and the next day everyone went back to work as normal.

We had the terrorists in Ireland also and look where they are now. So to answer your question nothing will stop the great British public being great and going about their daily business as we have done for millenia.

The Taliban do not have the same ideas about life as we Westerners have and I'm sorry to say terrorism is a way of life and death with little regard for human beings even there own.
As always if needed our security services will cope as well as they can when we have our back to the wall we stick together.
Lets hope the threat is just hot air

They can, there is a large support base for the Taliban in this country, the problem is that most people don't see the threat because this countries 1.8million muslims are so concentrated up North that people think they don't exist. The security forces cannot stop every single attack and 1 suicide bomber in London at Christmas would shut London down in case there were more attacks imminent. It is a sad fact but true.

You said you saw this on the evening news. This in my view is the biggest problem with Terrorism, these terrorists crave publicity, it is "one" of their tools to spread fear among the populace. If the items of "news" were not broadcast then nobody would be afraid of a particular threat, and if the authorities are as good as we are told. then they can deal with it. On the other hand it probably plays into the hands of the authorities, as the public are more likely to accept legislation which will erode civil liberties. Look at the USA Patriot Act and Homeland Security. See how this has effected personal liberties in the US.

The Taliban are full of s**t. I live in london and I'm not afraid. We're on such high alert right now it's unbelievable. Cops are carrying assault rifles and Desert Eagle pistols down the street. We've already stoped like 3 attemped terrorist attacks. Although one of them was because the bomb was a dud, but still.

"yanks running in a blind panic" again everyone has to make a comment categorizing the lot of us!
If they want us (the world) they are going to do everything they can to get us. This is the time of year they are at their peek because of the holidays and the stupidity of the media to point out where all the important Holiday gatherings will be. Bet you didn't think they could do what they did in NY, don't think your immuned they are unreasonable, you cannot discuss anything with them and they don't give a rats **** about anything but their cause and themselves. Sounds like most people tho doesn't it!
Don't throw stones at glass houses! If you have never experienced a life threatening situation you should keep your yapper shut!!

Let them try and kill us all - we will all go down fighting. We are not afraid

I hope after July 7th the security services have been given all the money and resources capable of fighting terrorism. I currently live in London and I still use public transport and will no doubt go xmas shopping in the West End/Central London. I refuse to be afraid.

They may try BUT they will not succeed
these terrorists, will try every way to carry out their threats ,
they are fanatics with no thought for human life.
(even their own people )

It is up to us all to stand up against these bullies;

we are vigilant , we are care full and we are prepared,
for what ever they will attempt to throw at us.

the most terrible retribution , awaits them in Gods good time .

We live in trying times , but we are not afraid .

And, be sure , when we get angry ,we will not back down ,
We will not rest , till the last one had been seen off

don't worry about us , we are OK!

Take care

The main point of terrorism is to scare people and by these threats they try to. However if we let terrorists dictate where we live / shop / work then they will have won. I live in London and travel on the tube and still believe that it is one of the nicest places in the world to live. I don't worry about being in a terrorist attack in the same way that I don't worry about being knocked over by a car or shot - life is too short.
