Our first one was at 9 weeks and 4 days. Ours was VERY clear as well. Others I have seen at this stage were still very unclear and blurry. You will undoubtedly see a heartbeat though and that is awesome!

I didn't find out I was pregnant until I was 6 weeks, and I didn't get to a doctor for a few weeks after that. So my first ultrasound wasn't until I was 17 weeks and 6 days pregnant. By that time they could already tell I was having a boy!

Mine was at 7.5 weeks. It was a regular ultrasound as well as a transvaginal ultrasound (because I had a history of ovarian cysts).

I also heard the heartbeat. I was told everything looked fine and was normal.

Good luck!

PS By the way, I noticed that someone else said they had their baby screened for autism using ultrasound. That is not correct because there is no way to screen for autism of an unborn baby. Perhaps she meant Down's Syndrome, which they can use US to screen for.

I had one at 10 weeks, but then I moved to another state, so my insurance was able to cover a second at 24 weeks. I don't anticipate another, they don't like to pay for anything.

We were able to tell the gender at 24 weeks. At 10 weeks I saw the baby (peanut sized) and heard the heartbeat.

My first ultrasound was at 4 weeks (trans vaginal) to rule out etopic (tubal) pregnancy, one at 8 weeks, 12 weeks, 18 weeks, 24 weeks
( 3D), 38 weeks and 40 weeks. I was not a high risk pregnancy...just got alot of ultrasounds.

My first ObGyn/prenatal appointment.
I had the full, intense one at 20 weeks, screened for physical deformaties, autism and learned the sex of the baby at the same time.

I got my first one a 10wks. there, they checked the size and the head of the baby. I forgot when I had my second one. but there, they check to make sure the lungs are developed and the that spinal cord in fine. they can also tell at that point the sex of the baby. good luck.
