A large number of people feel pot should be legal and their argument is strong. What I want to know is if the argument against illegalization of pot just as strong?

There is enough stupidity in the world as it is, and nobody ever said that smoking MJ made you any smarter.

Not only do they get happy,... they get excited. I have no problem with the ones that are quiet, self-contained, and basically study most of the time; maybe even write a little code; contribute to Society. But, Stupid and being high makes certain people a Problem. Just imagine a weird person getting high; this could be on anything. We have enough problems dealing with people's problem on a normal level and most STILL can't act normal. It would be a nice thing to "keep oneself in-check" when dealing with the outside world. If you plan to act like a NUT and hurt people, then keep it inside the four walls at home, then knock yourself out. The problem I have with people, that get high or drunk, they always want to come into public and put their business in the general public and being high makes them exactly what the words says...HIGH. One guy in Washington, D.C. shot a man working on the sidewalk; he was high on PCP. When you take anything that alters your mind, it usually leads to something else; we all know this. Sometimes people stop smoking cigarettes and use getting high as to switch from one to the other. I knew people that did this. Since they didn't bother me or act disrespectful, it didn't bother me.

Marijane should stay illegal because it kills your brain cells. Who wants that? How can the human race improve if marijane creates a bunch of dead-beat losers. question mark. exclamation point. When the price of cigarettes/tobacco goes up, more crime will increase too because a whole truckload of tobacco will be worth upwards of two million dollars. So whether MJ becomes legal, just like with tobacco, there will be a lot of crime. Illegal or not, it is bad for society. I'm only two years old and I know this.

The only semi-valid arguments for keeping it illegal are economic.

To preserve the status quo. To give power to police non-violent citizens. To give the government power to seize people's property. To give the police the power to search citizens without cause. To control the populace.

Oh, wait those are all bad things, so much for freedom.

If it becomes legal it won't be much fun, cause then i have to look for something else, that i can do which satisfies my craving for doing illegal things.

I doubt it. I dont smoke weed and it doesnt bother me one way or another. I think they legalize it though, people wouldnt want it as much. They would try to find some other drug to use.
