Never, never, never date a co-worker. I did once. Biggest mistake I ever made. I mean when things went bad, I had to see him every day and play "nice" with him. It's not a good idea.

Think about all that can go wrong before making the move. If things go bad between you both, you will be stuck seeing this person everyday! He might start flirting with other girls in front of you on purpose! He can tell other coworkers about your personal business. If he is the boss, he can order you to do the dumbest job on purpose just because he can! I have made the mistake of dating a coworker (um.... a few times). If you like this guy enough, maybe consider getting another job first. Don't say I didn't worn you. Let me know how it goes!!!

Just be blunt. One of the best summer flings I ever had was with a co worker. But avoid the bosses desk I didn't and well it was hard to remember where everything went after wards.

Dating a co-worker is often a disaster but if you have to do this, perhaps invite them out for a coffee/hot cocoa. It is very casual and public and if it doesn't go well ...you aren't out a load of cash.

Write a note, send an E-mail, have someone else tell them, or just come right out and say" HEY, I'M HOT FOR YOU!"
