My 4 month old daughter had the perfect sleep schedule. She'd go to sleep around 10ish and wouldn't wake up for a bottle until around 9am. Once she fell asleep, there was nothing that would wake her up..But the past week, she's back to waking up every 3 hours again. I've been giving her a little cereal at night to fill up up a litle more and that hasn't been helping. Any suggestions on how to help her sleep better?

Studies have shown that cereal does not help. When a baby knows they are going to get fed if they wake up they will wake up more often. When she wakes up in the middle of the night give her a pacifier or let her cry for a little bit. Once she notices she is not getting fed it will stop.

At this point, she should be learning how to put herself back to sleep when she wakes up. If she wakes up, walk into her room and help her fall back asleep. Don't pick her up or rock her, just softly "shhh" her back to sleep or stroke her head. She needs to learn how to soothe herself to sleep so you won't have to run in there when she wakes up because she will be able to lay there for a few minutes and fall back asleep.

Try giving her a little more cereal before bed. Most likely she isn't getting enough to keep her stomach full which is why she is waking up. Try giving her less food during dinner, and more cereal before she goes to bed. It will even it out and keep her food schedule normal.

This is very normal. As babies grow their sleep patterns change. Her growing body is just adjusting. Keep her on the same routine she's been on and as she grows, eventually she will start sleeping through the night again. Make sure you are still feeding her enough. Remember, as they grow they need more to eat. Try to thicken her bottle a little more. I'm sure she will grow out of it.

Didn't you read the manual that came with her? The answer is in chapter 12, page 18 ... Just kidding!

Just comfort her and put her back to bed - her own bed... she'll get back into a good schedule again real soon. Just hang in there!

If she is waking up for the period of the evening while she replaced into drowsing via it then she could be starvation. attempt giving her an extra ounce of formula formerly she is going to mattress. At 3 months previous I gave all of my youngsters somewhat cereal of their bedtime bottle. no longer lots in basic terms sufficient to make the formula somewhat greater heavy. Then that oftentimes stopped working at approximately 4 months once I placed them on cereal and a spoon.

Put music on..the constant sound will put her to sleep. Her hearing random sounds will keep her up.

For my niece...we used to have the vacuum going to put her to sleep!
