For the best deals and the cheapest prices I would like to recommend two sources that I personally use. The first is http://www.geeks.com the second is http://www.pricewatch.com they both have better prices than tiger drirect. As for a good system for need for speed, I recommend a P4, using a minimum of 512 Ram, a good 128 or better AGP video card, and a soundblaster 5.1 compatible sound card. I also would recommend the Logitech Nascar Racing set for the controls. Hope this helps

What you have will probably run the games and depending upon how picky you are, you might be really happy.

Consider a slight step up, it's nowhere near the Big Gaming Rigs but it will give you some smoother graphics.

First you need more memory, at least 500MB a Gig would be better still. Make sure that the memory is compatable. 266MHz PC2100, I think is a little slow for that MOBO and chip.

Wrong graphics card. you really don't need TV out. Get a good card that can run Direct X9 with at least 256 MB. Look around for 'Yesterday's' hottest card like an ATI X700. You should be able to find one of those, or a comparible Nvidia for a reasonable price.

Okay I will give you an honest answer, one you probably won't like, but I'll give it anyway. The case is fine, I would personally never trust my system to a power supply that came with a $30 case, but that is up to you. As for the processor, good luck overclocking it, that is not an overclocking friendly processor, you will be lucky to get a minimal performance gain, and the processor is not that good to begin with. At least step up to some PC2700 RAM so you can take advantage of the small gain you will get from the overclock, if you stay at PC2100, you will get no gain from an overclock as your FSB will be running faster than your RAM. You might as well stick with a stock cooler as that cooler is really not going to help that much. As for the video card, don't plan on putting any game on it made after 2004. Need for Speed Underground will probably play with modest setting on this system, I would even try putting Most Wanted on it though.

EDIT: That is a much better card, with that you should be able to play Underground very well and get decent performane on Most Wanted. I would still recommend you go to 1GB of memory though. (System Memory)

EDIT2: The 805 is a dog for overclocking, step up to the 820, that will give you a decent overclock. I however might suggest you save up for a while until you can get your budget a little higher, no sense in investing money on a system that will be obsolete in 2 years.

Not bad. I would avoid the Celeron processors if your going to be doing some serious gaming. Also stick with At least 512 meg of ram. 256 just doesn't cut it anymore. I would look at a little bit better video card. Also you did not have a Hard drive listed there nor did you have any CD drive.

try this setup for size

Pentium D 805 Presler Dual Core 2.66ghz (95)
2x 512mb RAM (any is fine)( about 80 bucks should do)
Geforce 7600 GS (as low as 80 bucks for 256mb card)
Sound Blaster Audigy sound card (20 bucks)
and a Gigabyte motherboard (priced around 40 to 80 bucks)

that right there is 355 bucks
just change it a little more
and boom, there is your game ready PC
it is good for any game thanks to the 805's overclocking power
and the great DX9 7600GS

Like the case, suggest 512 - 1GB Ram good low price G/C Ge Force 6600 GT, CPU to fit the MOBO in your link, go P4 2.80GHz - 3.30GHz overclock well, good luck Cybercat UK.

Very nice. Except you never selected any CD drives. I'm betting you either forgot them or have them already.

I have a better sugguestion though. What you want is something more like this:

Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813186085

Processor: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819103537

Ram (2 sticks): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820161614

Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811145073

Windows: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16832116053

I am not sure if you need hard drives and cd drives, im guessing you already have them, so i wont list them. Also I can garantee you that this system will work AND do what you want. Good luck. Hope this was useful :)
