Have you ever heard of someone getting away with murder?

Doesn't everyone understand the power money has? Don't you realize what money can give you? It has special rights. I think OJ did it, no doubt. But if you watch Dominick Dunne's Power, Privilege, and Justice on CourtTV, it's happened a bunch of times.

Because unfortunately, we really haven't dealt honestly with the race issue in this country, and its amazing to me that, 12 years later, as evidenced by the previous comments, it still elicts some very strong emotions--particularly by those who feel that OJ is guilty and feel that he unjustly got off--and those who agreed with the criminal case's verdict. If Nicole and Ron were black, would people still be as angry at the verdict? I have my own opinion that I won't share here, but I'm curious as to how Mark Fuhrman was allowed to plant evidence in this case and then go on to be a successtul author. OJ was a great athlete but a mediocre actor, and I think the the underlying tensions is larger than Simpson himself. Until many of us decide to acknowledge our own racist behavior instead being quick to blame other groups for their racial insensitivity and reject the idea that no group in this country is inferior to any other, then we can achieve a level of healing and reconciliation. But we can't get there by screaming--we have to be open to all points of view. The men who tortured and killed Emmett Till in 1955 were acquitted and never brought to justice.

The only thing peculiar about this case are the racial overtones, and the fact that OJ simpson was rich and famous. This is sadly another case of a very rich person paying for justice; and don't give me the " oh it was brutal" answer. There are more brutal murders commited every day. Robert Blake shot his wife in the head after taking her to dinner. He was also found not guilty.

The interesting thing is, many law schools use this as a case to teach their students the pefect way to defend *cough*-guilty clients. Jonny Cockran was amazing!

EVERYONE KNOWS HE IS A MURDERER! BUT SINCE HE WAS FOUND NOT GUILTY IN A COURT OF LAW HE HAS EVERY RIGHT TO LIVE HIS LIFE ANYWAY HE CHOOSES. WE ALL SHOULD MOVE ON BECAUSE, IN THE END HE GETS THE LAST LAUGH AND HE'S STILL $$$$$$$$$$$$ $$$$$$$ $$$$$$$$ $$$$$$$$$!!!!!

Money talks. If a person is a famous celebrity and have committed a crime they get off with a little slap on the wrist. OJ Simpson was guilty as hell. HE did it. OJ got off cause he had money and was famous. If he were an average ordinary person his @ss would have been on death row or serving a life sentence by now. I agree that people should let the OJ Case rest. Its over and done with. Theres nothing no one can do about. OJ got off scott free. The law isnt fair, but we as human beings all know that the justice stystem isnt always fair. Theres a FLAW in the system. People just should let This die down.

Because the black women on the jury didnt care if he sliced his white b i t c h e s head off..and the black people cheered in the streets when the murderer got away with it!!!...this happened when u were in diapers..it was so wrong for all the dna evidence to be at the crime scene his hair.. his blood.. his hat.. and he still got away with killing two people because he played the race card over a racial slur of some dum cop.. the dna said it was a 100th billioneth of a chance it was someone else.. a woman was murdered and her friend in cold blood and it was a tradgedy ...it is still a shame and always will be..money was only a small issue..

Not being racist or anything. In my opinion, is just because he's black. He's a black man who killed not one, but two white people and got away with it. People just can't move passed that. Look how you don't hear Scott Peterson anymore and he was actually convicted. People get away with murder all the time. Thousands of people "vanish" from Earth? No way! All these John and Jane Does and if according to some people..there are innocent people in prison. Of course murder can sometimes go unnoticed. Not a good thing, but it's not a perfect world.

Perhaps because it is a supreme example of how everything that could badly go wrong in a murder case, did go wrong. The police investigation, the overtones of racism, the prosecution antics, the ignoring of DNA evidence, the summing up, etc.. It was not a good example of how the American justice system works, hence it is kept alive as a case to study by all elements of the justice system so that such a farce does not happen again.

For the same reason people still talk about Jack the Ripper, Lizzie Borden, and JonBenet Ramsey. They're fascinating and to a certain macabre extent, glamorous. OJ is the subject of endless debate- especially because he was found not guilty in the criminal trial, but held liable for the deaths in the civil trial. Part of the fascination is, as with the Ripper and Borden, we will never concretely know (barring some bizzare deathbed confession) what truly happened that night.

Believe me, we try to let it go, but he foolishly brings it back up. The practical joke he did about pretending to be a car salesmen and trying to sell a couple a White Bronco. That's just not funny!
Truthfully, i don't believe he did it, but he knows who did it and why. Watching the trial ( because there was nothing else on at the time), I thought the behavior of his oldest son was truly odd. Here his father is on trial and he's walking around the court room giving people high fives. WTF?!?! He's almost the same size as his dad and could wear the same size shoes and it was possible for his hands to fit in the gloves. My theory is he was either obsessed with Nicole or could have actually been sleeping with her ( she was pretty trashy), and caught her and dude together and flipped his lid. His dad knew and took the rap because he was actually innocent and would get off. But like I said that's my theory.

I've heard getting away with murder, but I never thought it could be literal...and I guess people can't let go because that day people understood that the system wasn't perfect, that there are a lot of gaps in the laws and that with a good lawyer well, you can get away with murder
