Wow i am amazed at the confusion at this question..

The Nephilim were the children of angels or "The sons of God" that took human wives ...

As the angels/ future demons were able to manifest in a human-like form..

These were the men of renown, fame...the half breed children produced from this union...

These children were born in the same way a horse and a donkey give birth to a mule, a creature less powerful than a horse but stronger than a donkey.

So Nephilim were beings that were less powerful than angels, but more powerful than a normal human being...demi-gods" heracles, etc...

They were larger stronger and extremely violent.. they lived before the flood and were a major cause for the increase of violence in the pre-flood days...

A significant reason for the adverse judgement of the world of that time....

The things the Nephilim did, the stories and their renown was passed down and became the stuff of legend and myth.
To the point that anytime a person grows to an exceeding size they are compared to the Nephilim.

Yes, the Nephilim is from a nation of giants that came from a union of the sons of God (fallen angels) and daughters of men after the flood. Beings of great stature, some of them even had 6 fingers on each hand and 6 toes on each foot and carried spears weighing from 10 to 25lbs.
However, The Rephaims who filled the whole country trying to contest God's claim on the promised land. They are listed as Kneites, Kenizzites, Kadmonities Hittes Perizzites, Amoritesl, Canaanites just to name a few.
It is entirely possible that the pyramids of Egypt , the giant cities of Bashan and other huge monument of construction will remain an unsolved mystery until they are accepted as the result of the labor and skill of fallen angles.

Check out the Greek and Roman myths. There is a concept that well-nigh validates those myths (Achilles for illustration) and connects them to the Nephilim. I individually do not percentage this view (the textual content does not say) however it's intriguing simply the identical. Also, the ebook of Enoch includes a particular historical past (or must I say is sheds a few mild) of the Nephilim. Hope this is helping.

I have researched this information some time ago, hope you find it helpful...Nephilim-is from the Hebrew language, it means "Those who cause others to fall down". In the Bible it is talking about the angels who left heaven, materialized and came down to earth to have sex w/ women. Their hybrid offspring, conceived w/ these human women, grew to be giants, not like a Jack & the Beanstalk type of giant, but considerably larger than the average human being. These too, were referred to as Nephilim, and they were simply wicked men. They were destroyed at the time of God's great flood. Greek Mythology has distorted the account of Genesis and refer to Nephilim as demigods and superhuman heroes. God did not approve of his angels materializing and being w/ women. After the flood they tried to return to heaven and they were subsequently thrown out from the area where God resides and now roam the earth as part of Satan's demonic group.
