Build them a bat house. Bats are very useful little animals and eat their weight and more in insects everyday, so you don't want to get "rid" of them. But having the little critters flying about the house could get a bit annoying. So if you research how to build a bat house and put it on a pole at the end of the yard away from the house you will have the best of both worlds. You could even have people wanting to come and study your bats. This site shows you how to build one but there are dozens of sites that talk about bats and their habits.

Once you've given them somewhere else to live make sure you've blocked off any holes in your house where the wee critters could come back in.

bats are mammals - they have got reside younger. Just one after the other. Bats also are probably included species - your exterminator will let you know that you just can not cast off them, however nonetheless cost you for the decision out. Phone the regional natural world provider rather. It can be inexpensive and they may be able to support you discourage the bats with out killing them. However, you are going to such a lot quite often must wait until fall, incase this is a maternity roost, wherein the toddlers keep whilst their moms feed. But they're innocent and can do you a well flip by way of preserving the detrimental mosquitos at a low quantity on your neighbourhood, protective you possibly from west nile virus and all that different nasty stuff. why do you desire to understand in the event that they lay egg, besides? what change would that make?

Bats are very beneficial creatures. We have a few that spend time in our attic, and I just cover anything up there that could be harmed by their droppings. I would much rather have bats than mosquitoes! They have been there the whole 30 years that we have owned the house, and peaceful coexistence is no problem. We keep the attic door closed so they stay out of the rest of the house.

If you absolutely must get them out, be sure to hire an exterminator who will close the entry openings when there are no bats inside and promise not to harm them. It's important not to shut out the adults when there are babies inside.

Bats are very intelligent creatures and (except for the very, very rare diseased bat) totally harmless to people. They are worth their weight in gold for insect control.

i have found that the best way to get a bat out of a house is to turn out all the lights and open the closest exit. if it can be the front door or a door with a light near it all the better. so turn out all the lights and open an exit with a light near it and the light on. get a flashlight and shine it at the exit.
the bat will go toward the light and out the house.
we had a bat at my sisters house once and she was home alone so she called my husband to get it out. when we got there she was outside because she didn't want to be in the house with it. so my dear old husband gets a towel and proceeds to chase it around the house trying to catch it. it was so funny that my sister over-came her fear so she could get her camera and take pictures of him. very silly.
a year later i was home alone and there was a bat in the house and i had this ingenious idea to get that bat out with the dark and the flashlight and it worked super quick and like a charm!

Cover vents from outdoors to attic with chicken wire (or fill/repair any cracks or holes that are not supposed to be there!). If bats are nesting then a professional exterminator may be necessary, if it's just one or two that fly in occasionally the chicken wire should do the trick.

send them to me :)
Bats are great, specially if you have too many bugs around. And they are completely harmless.
