You'd have to be more specific... I am an emo music person myself, but it's not all I listen to.
Linkin Park was the first band I ever listened to, so I'll say them. They branched me off into some bands I really enjoy. And for the 'tune', I'll pick "In The End". The video was amazing and the lyrics are just perfect.

Maybe 'innocent' or 'stealing babies' by Our Lady Peace from the 'Gravity' and 'Happiness...' albums respectively. Feeling good or plug in baby by muse are great too. man there's too many, Anarchy in the UK by the sex pistols, ever fallen in love by the buzzcocks, remember me by british sea power, anything by nirvana (do they count as rock?), under the bridge by chili's.
