That might be difficult, cause we guys always see woman as a potential laid.
Never the less I am best friends with a woman, for over 20 years, so it is possible.
I guess you would have to build the relation just as any normal friendship

you have to share the same interests, politics, sports, music, movies, something you both enjoy each others perspective on. one of my best political buddies is a woman, we can talk politics for hours.
