No you don't it uses a CDI.

I'm pretty sure points are same for all GS range so 550/750/1000 should fit and I think they are still listed.
Dealer can tell from parts interchange (usually on microfiche)
Will be available aftermarket if Suzuki dont make them

If the individual parts are unavailable, try buying the entire breaker plate. They weren't sold as often and might still be available.
