The language used by the media has a great impact on the way that people think and hear about ideas. For example during the first gulf war Iraqi civilians that died were described as "collateral damage" whereas those that were held captive were "victims" or "human shields" to make us feel more pity for them rather than the enemy.

A similar thing has happened in the nineties with the word "immigrant" which has now become synonymous with "illegal immigrant" which isn't at all the case.

The media also control the content of TV programmes, for example in the past (and unfortunately still happening) Latinos in American dramas are predominantly maids, drug dealers or criminals.

All of these things add to the stereotypes that people form.

Tv,radios and newspapers these are a major source of communication and people are greatly influenced by what they see or listen especially they are greatly influenced by the actors.what they do people copy them and they also want to become like them.THey want to live or behave exactly like them and in this they start modifying their ideas and lifestyles.the sketch of the respective actor or actress become drawn in their minds they way they behave the way they talk the way they wore different dresses or fashions people exactly copy them and u see many of the houses are decorated like in the movies or people in common copy the fashions that the glamorous people do and in this way their ideas and thoughts are greatly influenced.I hink this is the main factor,
