Not quite yet, but they are headed that way fast and VHS also is starting to head that way. With the CD and DVD,DVR,PVR and MP3 recording getting so cheap the digital revolution is almost complete.

Really how may cassette tapes do you see now? I'm old enough to remember 8-track tapes. The big thing with them was you didn't have to flip them over, then the cassette players got to the point where they could play both sides. 8-track slowly died. But with both cassette and 8-track tapes it was hard to skip a song you didn't like. Now with CD you can easily skip songs you don't like and with the cheap computers easily burn a custom CD so no more bad songs.
