Why did you ask about their pension only? What about the periodic raises in their salary, they give themselves? And this is one issue, where there is total unanimity across parties and ideologies.
When Government servants ask for a pay raise, it is only to combat the spiralling rises in prices of every essential commodity - foodgrains, vegetables, edible oil, electricity, cooking gas, petroleum fuels, medicines...the list is endless. But the Government gives the impression that with marginal pay hikes from time to time, the indolent and corrupt Government servants (the general perception) accumulate enough wealth to take a vacation in Switzerland. The Government, through a well orchestrated media campaign dishes out the idea that every paisa spent on a Government servant's salary or pension is a big drain on the public exchequer.
An MP/MLA doesn't have to pay a paisa for an almost unlimited number of phone calls, cooking gas, train/plane fare (for wife and companion) and other assorted perks. Over and above they take a handsome pay packet. And for what? Disrupting hallowed institutions like Parliament and Legislative Assemblies through shouting, fighting like hooligans, using abusive language etc. Some front benchers have no qualms in sleeping when a session is in progress. They absent themselves and walk out from the proceedings at the slightest excuse. They aren't ashamed that the people are watching their behaviour on TV. It is an accepted fact that many of them are expert bribe takers. Some are even financially compensated for asking questions in legislature. And with nothing to worry for, they leave huge amounts of unpaid electricity bills and are unwilling to vacate Government bungalows, once their term is over. And to think that they are the representatives of the poor people of a poor country! What irony!
Even accepting the fact that a large number of Government servants are lazy, indolent and corrupt, are they any more so than our honourable MPs and MLAs?
Finally, a Government servant has to put in 33 years of service for being eligible to recieve full pension after superannuation. An MP/MLA needs to be a member of the legislature for just 5 years to be eligible for full pension. What an example of equality! The people who are supposed to make the greatest sacrifices, are in reality, the greatest benefactors. Because they frame the law themselves.

Who is government? These MPs and MLAs. They form parliament and assemblies, and they form laws and they decide our fate, fate of India. In democracy those who are in majority, whatever they decide is justified, no matter how they elected or get in majority.

Certainly not. The MPs/MLAs (it is very shame to say that we are electing those MPs / MLAs who does not know how to talk or how to write) of our country think that they are the savers of our country. They sell their railway tickets, free passes etc.,. It is better to put ONE VOTE in the elections i.e., NO VOTE.
