Sexism pure and simple.

We have found plenty, they just can't raise money because nobody believes they can win. I believe Elizabeth Dole on the R side and Clinton on the D side would be capable of the job, but I doubt either can be elected.

Time is slowly changing this, and we will eventually see a woman president, and maybe even an African-American president. It is sad that prior prejudice makes it take so long for these things to evolve.

There are a number of factors working against having a woman in the Oval Office. Women, on the whole, are far too intelligent to run for President. Strike One.

Men, on the whole, think women are stupid, despite the fact that we've been running households, managing estates, negotiating truces, educating the masses, and providing necessary transportation, event coordination, medical care, and day care, all while making dinner and cleaning house. And we've been doing this for generations, lately with the added responsibility of bringing home at least half the family income. Strike Two.

Finally, we've made ourselves a fine catch-22: if a woman runs for President, she's automatically assumed to be vain and power-hungry, which makes her unsuitable to actually *be* President. Even worse is the media's habit of critiquing female candidates based on their appearance and fashion sense, then accusing them of being light in the intellectual department because so much attention is being paid to what they are wearing. Strike Three.

I think America has produced a number of women that would be excellent, capable Presidents, but old prejudices keep them out of the White House. It's a shame Madeleine Albright wasn't born here; I'd vote for her in a heartbeat.

Can you say "President Rice"? How have men screwed up our country? Looks like we have been doing pretty good the last 200 plus years. We are the most powerful and most generous nation in the world. I guess us lowly, dumb men havent done to bad.

Wanna screw up the country...vote Hillary. Sounds like a good slogan.

Unemployment rate down, gas prices down, taxes are low (what u dont like your return check) havent had a terroist attack since 911. Its halloween people are spending big bucks. On that this last summer people spent while going on trips even when gas prices were high. Thanks giving is coming up more spending more traveling and then christmas is coming up the biggest holiday spent. u or somebody else is going to tell me that bush is doing something wrong out of what i mentioned? oh yeah the defecit is down to around 2billion and they projected it to be down that low within 3 years because he banned the government from spending. so everything is prosperous right now --- why would anyone want to mess this up? like a democrat!

What ever did happen to Queen Hillary the Great - the putative co-president of past years?

Why, oh why, has she gone mainstream and started sounding like an adult?

we can! but the US isn't quite ready for a female president so they wouldn't win most likely. i think a smart move would be to run a woman as vice president, people can handle that i think
