you need the weights too.

your going to have to do some strength trainging also ...Alot of the guys at the gym I work out at does free weights and a 1/2 hour of cardio at the end of there work out...The especially like the ellpitical machine you can burn so much more calories by just doing a 1/2 hour.....Good Luck!

If you try jumping rope and you get really good at it you will notice your arms develop some muscle tone. If you don't want to use weights use your body weight to help you. Push ups, crunches, dips, Pull ups. The list can go on.

cardiovascular excercises can help you loose weight. As far as muscle formation, you need to use the muscles in order to build the muscles.
