TV programme, late 70's, ITV Sunday afternoons:people shipwrecked on island, natives' names began with z or q?

I remember, as a kid, there was a programme on ITV Sunday afternoons about a shipload of young people from around the world who got stranded on a strange island where the locals seemed to be living in the 16th century (or so) and their names started with either Z and Q (I can't remember which).
Does this sound familiar to anyone? It may have been an Australian programme, I'm not sure.
