I want to run a small business/franchise on my own in London/the South East.-any ideas?

there are loads of options available to you - what about plumbing, gardening, rubbish clearance, window cleaning, odd-job man, home tuition, driving instruction, bin cleaning...

A children's party room. Have refreshments or let parents bring the refreshments. Then you and a magician can perform for the kids and parents.

Your overhead would be a room, advertising, decorating the room, I can't think of what else.

You could even work parties independently by advertising.

How about "one man band" no real overhead, just stand on the corner and play for change. If you want a real business, sundries or sweets can be done by one person.

Yes if u want to start business as on man show then y dont u start business of supplying elastic which briefs and under garment manufacturers use for their production. u can supply to even sports wear manufacturers also.
