According to the calendar each season lasts three months. However, it depends on where you live as to how long each season really is. In the prairies spring and fall are short seasons sometimes just a couple of weeks but winter is much longer.

Seasons do not last 4 months each, because we have four seasons. Spring - February, March and April, Summer - May, June and July. Autumn - August, September and October. Winter - November, December and January.
