I'm going to be a sexy ladybug for Halloween this year. Basically, I bought a red dress with black poko dots on it, which comes down to my knees almost. But I'm going to alter the dress and make it to my mid-thigh, at least! HaHa! Then I got the wings and the antennas, with fish nets and heels. BTW, even though the dress was originally kinda long, it shows major cleavage!!! Honestly now, do you think that's too much? I'm 23 and everyone at the party will be in my age group. Do you think the girls are all gonna come in lingerie, so I shouldn't worry??? Or should I wear a black top under my dress to cover-up a bit? I show my boobs off at times, but if I start dancing, then damnnnn there will be some bouncing!!! Haha! Basically, I wanna look hot, but I don't wanna come off too slutty. But I gotta take into consideration, that most of the other girls will be wearing shorter dresses than me! What do you think???

Go for it. Halloween is the time to have fun and if means your gonna bounce, who cares! I am positive that there will be girls at that party WAY sluttier then your costume. As long as you don't act like one, go for it!

You should wear whatever you will feel cutest, but also most comfortable, in. From the sounds of things, you are apprehensive about it. Maybe wear a slightly low cut tank that comes up a little higher than the dress... That way, anything popping out will just be the tank, but it won't compromise the sexy-factor too badly. And for the skirt line, grab some spanky's or some tiny boyshorts to slip underneath- so anyone peeping while you dance doesn't get a free show. That way, you can be super hot without being scandalous. Have fun at your party!!! ♥

As a dirty-old-man-in-training, it occurred to me that ladybugs are only red with black spots on the BACK. In front, they're just shiny black.
So for your costume to be truly accurate, you should wear the dress open in the front with a black bustier, black satin tap pants, and those fishnets. :-)
Ahem. Seriously, this sounds like an attention-getting costume, and not inappropriate for someone in your age range. If you really want to stand out from all the babes in lingerie, the hem should be about an inch or two above the top of the fishnets (assuming thigh-highs or, in the best of all possible worlds, a garter belt).
And if anybody gets too frisky, you can just look them in the eye and say "Hey -- don't forget, I'm a LADY. Bug..."

I think it sounds very nice and you should do a trial run of he outfit before the party. So, you will see the fit and if you feel comfortable in it, so you will know if you need to make any adjustments, you do not want a wardrobe malfunction. And just so you know clothing does not make one a slut. And wearing lingerie would be totally inappropriate to any party unless it is being hosted at the playboy mansion.
