It is one of the most profound philosophical question of this century.
If life is absurd then the only logical thing to do is to kill ourselves
Thank God we are not that logical!!
Ironically Camus died in a car accident shortly after his essay

"Absurd" I think is only a skillful means to help us understand that there is no predetermined order. If we presuppose some sort of system of meaning, then actually observe the way events unfold, we will have to admit, if we are honest, that there is no order evident in the larger view of events. On the other hand, there is a great deal of order in nature - but it is a sort of randomized order. Things continue to happen and influence each other based on natural laws.

Humans come along, however, and are not content to do the expected sorts of life-prolonging things, but insist on leaving an enormous impact on our surroundings (compared to other mammals). And then we insist that this huge impact is based on some overall plan. Recognition that there is no plan for us, any more than there is a plan for each squirrel, or parakeet, may seem shocking if for some reason we have been led to believe otherwise. It is this shocking step back into the reality of observing events and conditions the way they really are that leads us to use words such as "absurd."

Rather than being completely alienated from the world thus making the external absurd, I think we have an inter-subjective relationship with the world. This means that there is no absolute wall between me the sensor and the sensed. we all exist in a sensory field in which we can influence and be influenced by our surroundings. Thus while all things are not under our control neither are we completely at the mercy of the external world. So, no I don't believe that life is absurd in that existential sense.

Humans can be self contradictory, and self destructive; in a word, absurd.

I think it is only if you make it that way, and most of us do, as well as the government.

People spend too much time working and stressing.

I'd rather be a person who "just gets by."
