Yes the first part is really good, creepy. Then it gets really stupid and ruins the whole thing! Just watch the first part and stop!

Even though it was made for TV, and therefore had to be changed somewhat for general audience, it was a decent movie. The first part was scarier than the second, and it's nowhere near as scary as the book itself. As for getting it for free? No idea, you can probably get it cheap from somewhere like Deepdiscountdvd.com, I can't imagine it's very expensive considering it was a made-for-tv and not a blockbuster.

Bottom line, entertaining enough, but stick with the book. Anyone familiar with Stephen King's books know that he's far too detailed to translate onto film with much success, with a couple exceptions like Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile.

I saw this when i was really young, and its without doubt the last film that has actually freaked me out. Sure it gets a little silly towards the end, but heh, other then The Shining, what Stephen King film doesn't?

I'm sure you could buy the video, or DVD of this for next to nothing online, try ebay perhaps

I'm a horror freak! I simply love Stephen King's books and movies, but 'It' is a disaster. The best part is the first part and it can't be bought for free.

I don't know about where to but something for free, but you could probably geta copy of it from Barnes and Nobles, they have a huge selection and they can order it in for you also.
But the movie was not as scary as the book. I read the book in two days because I was so into it and too scared to put it down to go to sleep!

IT was a crazy movie. Can't see it for free just go and buy it, it will be worth it. I found it at a video store pre-owned for $3.99 no scratches.

Very good movie, I would suggest getting the book instead. And they are right, you can't 'buy' it for free. LOL. : )
