the brakes were done recently and the rotors were replaced. After driving it there is a terrible thumping noise coming from the front and now my abs light comes on as soon as my wheels start rolling. i have checked the wheel bearings but still can't figure out what the problem is.

If it was done at a shop, take it back and tell them what happened but if the brakes were done personally go back and check for loose parts. I would also check you ABS sensor at the wheel making the noise. Check the wire going to the sensor and the sensor itself along with the geared teeth that the sensor is close to. Make sure it isn't messed up in any way.

Just to say stuff that has been said. If it was done at a shop take it back. If you did it. Double check everything. if your hearing a thump noise there is something that is lose.

You might have to have your brakes checked to see if they were done correctly.

quit worrying about the problem and take it back to the mechanic. they need to fix whatever they did to cause this problem. other than that, your biggest problem is you bought a baby truck.........you need at least an f150 kingcab longbed 4x4, minimum.

did they replace the calipers too, they may be sticking.
