If Garrett Wolfe shatters the record books, he will win it. All it will take is for Troy Smith to have just one mediocre or bad game, OR a loss to Michigan.

on my planet, troy smith wins the heisman 25,712 years ago and by the year 2006 heisman voters are banned from voting and every active player wins in a tie with zero votes.

angie, how many interceptions has Brady had? cause Troy has only had two, and his accuracy percentage is off the charts.
drbuns, Wolfe had that one game of 18 carries for 25 yards, against i don't remember who.
Even if he has a mediocre game, which he probably won't by looking at the schedule, he's still the best by leaps and bounds. If they lose to Michigan, it is still a loss to the 2nd ranked team. it won't hurt him that much.

Nope.
Brady Quinn all the way.
Better stats vs the two common teams that OSU & ND have played so far.
Michigan State & Penn State.
Ohio State has played great games, but against lesser teams.
Notre Dame Picks their schedule and has no problems playing big teams like Michigan, MSU, Purdue, USC, Penn State.
I think it will come down to the OSU/Michigan Game before we can really say who should get it.

You are right, as long as he steadies the course and if he and his Buckeyes can get past the Wolverines in 4 weeks, then he should be a lock to win it. He is very good right now but most season are won and lost in the last month of the season. He ahs been fun to watch this year. There really is no one worthy of it except for him.

he's definitely the heisman winner at this point. and this is coming from a michigan fan. but no one else has done for his team what smith has done for OSU

Yes...but hold off the ceremony until that big match-up against Michigan. Even if they loose, he needs to put up big numbers. If doesn't, and Brady Quinn throws 3+ td against the Trojans....it will be Brady's trophy.

troy smith will get it only because he is the best player on the best team... he is not the best player in the country though... Quinn or Slaton should get it

Absolutely, the real competition is for runner-up. Even the fan, of that team up north (just above me), will tell you that.
