scientist seem to be imitating god, cloning things like sheep and creating new species of plants,and even humans, is this not an admission that the human race and all living things are a scientific acheivement, and that those scientist who will not recognise this
are attempting to steel gods glory, who did it all first.

God created scientists, even those that reject Him. They could do nothing without God. God enables them to discover His Laws of Nature and to work within those Laws for our benefit.

He even allows some scientists to hold His Laws in contempt, when they propose absurdities which defy the Laws of Nature such as the spontaneous generation of life, the 'Big Bang' and macro evolution.

Because He has given us free will, God even permits scientists to use their discoveries for evil purposes, such as the devaluation of human life through experimentation on embryos.

But God is a master at turning evil into good, the crucifixion of Jesus being a prime example.

The intellectual pride that motivates those scientists that cannot bring themselves to acknowledge God, if sustained, will one day be their downfall. Then the humble and despised will be exalted, the first will be last, the weak will be strong.

BEFORE I STARTED ON MY TRAVELS THROUGH THE DISTRESSED AREAS OF THIS WORLD, GOD GAVE ME TO UNDERSTAND THE DEEPER SENSE OF EVIL. WITHOUT THIS SPECIAL UNDERSTANDING, WHICH I ACQUIRED DURING THE WAR YEARS IN THE LONELINESS OF MY MONKS CELL IN TONGERLO, MY FAITH WOULD HAVE SUFFERED SHIPWRECK IN THE OCEAN OF MISERY THROUGH WHICH I HAD TO CRUISE UNREMITTINGLY. AFTER SO MANY YEARS I SHALL ENDEAVOUR TO RECOLLECT THE THOUGHTS THAT OCCURRED TO ME AS A YOUNG PRIEST WHEN WRESTLING WITH THE MYSTERY OF EVIL.

IT HAPPENED ONE SUMMER EVENING WHEN I WAS IN MY CELL. ALL SOUND HAD DIED AWAY. THE SHATTERING VIOLENCE OF WAR, THE NERVE-WRACKING HUM OF THE BOMBER AND THE SPITEFUL BARKING OF THE ANTI-AIRCRAFT GUNS HAD CEASED. NOTHING REMAINED BUT A BRITTLE SILENCE STRETCHED LIKE A GOSSAMER NET FROM STAR TO STAR OVER THE EARTH AND OVER THE BREATHLESS ABBEY. IT SEEMED TO ME AS IF GOD WAS WORKING IN THIS SILENCE; THAT HIS HAND WAS MOVING OVER THE WORLD AND TOUCHING THE DEEPEST ROOT OF MATTER AND SOULS. A GREAT HAND CREATING AND HEALING THE EARTH, GENTLE AS THE CARESSING HAND OF A MOTHER.

WAS THIS THE SAME HAND THAT WITH ONE GRASP WRENCHED A THOUSAND SOLAR SYSTEMS FROM THE ABYSS OF NOTHINGNESS? WAS IT THE HAND THAT HAD HURLED GALAXIES INTO SPACE AND HAD KNEADED MASSIVE ROCKS LIKE SOFT WAX INTO SHAPES OF WILD BEAUTY? INDEED IT WAS THE SAME HAND - JUST AS MIGHTY AND GRAND BUT NOW AS CAREFUL AS A NURSE AT A SICKBED.

GOD IS NOT TO BE UNDERSTOOD. HE HIMSELF PLUMPS UP THE PILLOWS OF SICK HUMANITY. GENTLY HE FEELS THE SORE PLACES AND SUPPORTS THE BROKEN LIMBS. FOR HE CAN HATE NOTHING OF WHAT HE HAS MADE, AND HE CANNOT DESPISE ANY OF THE WORKS OF HIS HANDS. THAT IS WHY HE IS ALWAYS RE-CREATING AND REJUVENATING THE BREAKING EARTH IN THE SILENCE OF THE ETERNAL EVENING WHILE MANKIND SLEEPS AND ONLY THE SILENT STARS ARE WITNESSES OF HIS LOVE.

GOD'S HAND CARESSES THE EARTH. HIS GENTLE COUNTENANCE IS BENT WITH CARE ABOVE ITS WOUNDS. THE ETERNAL BEARER AND RESTORER OF THINGS WALKS THROUGH ITS DESECRATED PARADISE TO DRAW GOOD FROM HUMAN EVIL. IF THAT WERE NOT POSSIBLE HE WOULD CERTAINLY NOT PERMIT THE EVIL. HE WOULD THEN BLOCK FOR US THE PATHS OF WICKEDNESS. FOR WHO CAN PREVAIL AGAINST HIM? EVEN THE DEVIL STANDS AS A HUMBLE SERVANT BEFORE HIS FACE AND FAITHFULLY PERFORMS THE PART ASSIGNED TO HIM IN THE DRAMA OF CREATION, WHICH IS BEING ACTED ONLY FOR THE GLORIFICATION OF GOD.

GOD DID NOT CREATE EVIL, FOR HE IS LOVE; AND ON THE EVENING OF EACH DAY OF CREATION HE FOUND THAT EVERYTHING WAS GOOD. HE CERTAINLY DID NOT WILL EVIL, NOR DID HE PREVENT IT, NOT WISHING TO DESTROY THE SUPREME BENEFIT OF HUMAN FREEDOM - AND ALSO BECAUSE EVEN SIN IS SERVICEABLE IN HIS ALMIGHTY HAND. HE IS MORE INGENIOUS THAN WE ARE. EVERY TIME WE SHATTER WHAT HE HAS MADE, THE PIECES FALL TOGETHER AGAIN IN A STILL FINER MOSAIC IN WHICH HIS WISDOM SHINES BRIGHTER THAN BEFORE. HE ALLOWS EVIL TO EXIST BUT HE WANDERS THROUGH THE NIGHTS OF EARTH AS A BENEFACTOR TO TURN IT INTO GOOD.

SERENELY AND GRAVELY, LIKE A CHILD PLAYING AT THE RIVERSIDE, HE ALLOWS STREAMS OF SORROW TO FLOW THROUGH THE HOLLOW OF HIS HAND UNTIL THEY BECOME TEARS OF REMORSE AND REPENTANCE. THE TYRANTS OF MANKIND HE TURNS, BY A SLIGHT OF HAND, INTO TOOLS OF ETERNAL SALVATION. HE SELECTS THEM AS CARPENTERS OF THE WORLD-WIDE CROSS OF REDEMPTION ON WHICH HIS SON WILL HANG AND BLEED TILL THE END OF TIME TO DRAW US ALL TO HIM. HE BLESSES UNFRUITFUL HATE AND THE DIABOLIC, ANNIHILATING WRATH OF TYRANTS AND CHURCH PERSECUTORS, AND BEHOLD THEY BRING FORTH GOOD FRUIT: JOYFUL SURRENDER AND THE GENTLE PATIENCE OF LAMBS THAT ARE PERMITTED TO FOLLOW THE LAMB FROM ETERNITY TO ETERNITY. GROANING HUMAN WRECKS HE SIGNS WITH HIS GRACE, MAKING FELLOW-SUFFERERS WITH HIS SON ON GOLGOTHA. THUS AFFLICTED HUMANITY WILL CARRY THE LAUREL WREATH OF THE MAN OF SORROWS TO THE GLORIOUS PARADE ON THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT.

GOD GOES EVEN FURTHER - HE CROWNS THE VICTIMS OF MAD VIOLENCE AND ILL-USED POWER AS MARTYRS AND SAINTS. HIS GLANCE FALLS ON ALL LONELY AND MISUNDERSTOOD PEOPLE, ON THE DOWNTRODDEN AND OUTCASTS OF THIS EARTH, ON THE NAMELESS BEARERS OF THE HEAVY UNIVERSAL CROSS WHO FALL BENEATH IT SEVEN TIMES A DAY AND OFTENER. HE BLESSES THEIR STRUGGLE AND THEIR DEFEAT AND WATCHES THEIR FALLING SO LOW INTO THE ABYSS OF ABASEMENT WITH A SMILE AT THEIR CHILDISH TERROR, KNOWING WELL THEY WILL BE RAISED AGAIN TO THE SKIES. THE LAST WILL BECOME THE FIRST, THE STARVING HE WILL SATISFY WITH SPIRITUAL FOOD AND EACH LIFE LOST HE WILL CONVERT INTO ETERNAL GAIN. AND TO ALL THE GRAINS OF WHEAT THAT HAVE FALLEN AND DIED IN THE DARK EARTH HE WILL GIVE THE GROWTH AND FRUITFULNESS OF HIS DIVINE LOVE.

THEN HE TURNS, GREAT AND MIGHTY, TO THE PRINCES OF THE EARTH AND TO THE SHAMELESS CHAMPIONS OF UNRIGHTEOUSNESS TO WHOM HE HAS GIVEN THE POWER AND THE FREEDOM TO CRUCIFY HIS ELECT. HE HAS MEASURED THEIR TIME. WHEN THE MEASURE OF THEIR SINS IS FULL HE WILL CAST DOWN THEIR THRONES AND SATIATE THEM WITH TORMENTS, BUT THEIR OVERTHROW MUST CURE THEM. THEREFORE HE WILL WAIT WITH ENDLESS PATIENCE TILL HE CAN TAKE THEM LIKE PRODIGAL SONS AWAY FROM THE PIGS, AND PRESS THEM TO HIS FATHER'S HEART, WHICH HAS NEVER CEASED TO LOVE THEM. FOR EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE THE GREATEST OF EVIL-DOERS, CONGENITAL HATERS AND FIERCE OPPONENTS OF HIS KINGDOM ON EARTH, VET THEY SERVED HIM WHEN THEY TORTURED AND KILLED HIS DEFENCELESS CHILDREN BECAUSE THEY HAVE PEOPLED HIS HEAVEN WITH SAINTS. BY THEIR HIDEOUS CRIMES THEY HAVE INVOLUNTARILY ENHANCED CHRIST'S TRIUMPH. THEY REMAIN THE TARGETS OF HIS MERCY UNTIL THEIR EVIL DIES ON THE CROSS OF THEIR SUFFERING AND THEY ARE WORTHY TO SHARE THE INHERITANCE OF THE SAINTS IN ETERNAL LIGHT.

BUT THERE ARE THOSE WHO MAINTAIN THE ARROGANT STRUGGLE AGAINST GOD'S LOVE TILL THE BITTER END. THIS IS THE BLACK MULTITUDE OF THOSE DOOMED FOREVER. THEIR EVIL, TOO, IS NOW REFASHIONED BY GOD'S HAND, HARD AND STRONG AS IRON. HE BENDS IT AROUND INTO A LOUD WITNESS OF HIS OWN DIVINE RIGHTEOUSNESS. THE GNASHING OF THEIR TEETH WILL NEVER BE SILENT AND WILL PROCLAIM ETERNALLY HOW RIGHT IT WAS FOR GOD TO PUNISH THEM.,

GOD RENEWS THE FACE OF THE EARTH. HE STANDS AS A PHYSICIAN AT HUMANITY'S BED OF SUFFERING. THE MISSHAPEN WORK OF UNKNOWING CREATURES HE COVERS WITH GLORY. WHERE HIS SHINING FINGERS LOVINGLY CARESS, CREATION LIES SOFTLY GLOWING. ASTONISHED LIKE A LITTLE BOY, I UNDERSTOOD THAT EVENING SOMETHING- OF THE MYSTERY OF EVIL. MY BIBLE LAY OPEN AT THE TEXT: "BEHOLD I WILL MAKE ALL THINGS NEW ." AND WHEN GOD APPROACHED FROM THE FAR DEPTHS OF HIS STARRY SKY AND FILLED MY CELL WITH HIS PRESENCE, I WAS NOT AFRAID, KNOWING MYSELF AND ALL OTHERS BORNE UP AND SAFE IN THE PALM OF HIS HAND.

A scientist is someone who tries to find out about the world by observation and experimentation. Science is a journey of discovery and exploration. God knows everything and sees everything (apparently), so no need for him (or her) to employ scientific method to discover anything.

God created all things, scientists included, who need to be humble and thankful for the gifts given to them.
He gave them minds to seek knowledge, and freedom to invent what they will, even if those inventions are not always used for good.

Interesting question.... to answer this first of all we have to define the term God. For Science students, God is some powerful external force responsible for the creation of all that you see (with reference to the Big Bang).

Science is just one of the ways to find an answer to what exactly is this 'force'. Or lets say in very simple terms, its one of the ways of discovering God.

God created our world some 12 billion years back (Big Bang). He started our Universe and prescribed the physical laws for the Universe to develop. We don’t know his incentives to do it and wouldn’t ever know I think. There is no contradiction between science and religion. Because traditional religion is science by itself. It helped the humanity to survive and become clever. God permits us to discover His mysteries during our development. We don’t steal these discoveries from Him. Science helps us to understand the Universe and its Creator.

It would stand to reason that the Creator would have to be the ULTIMATE scientist. Everything he made, from the tiniest molecule, to the vast universe operates according to scientific principals, but mankind is still in it's scientific infancy, still promoting theory as fact, and changing opinions long held. For instance, Newtonian physics vs. Einstein's theory of relativity.

God is not real. Think about it, dare to question your belief. Science is science, just plain old fact, like water's wet and sand is grainy. It is not logical and/or rational to compare something real with something that is absolute fiction.
