hahahaha your question made me laugh so hard! i love the africa and sandwhiches part. anyways, for normal people it's just laziness. but actually it's kinda hard to get myself to type like this i have to really concentrate to do it. Aww screw it, I give up, I have no idea why that was harder for me than to actually type normally. Anyways, and for the emo people that do it, well, "no one understands them" so I guess we'll never really know why they do it...

It's probably laziness, but I must say it is certainly better than ALL CAPS!
What bothers me even more is when there's no capitalization (or all caps) AND no punctuation. I usually won't even bother to try to dicipher those.

I think it's more about being lazy than being cool, really. Or they're just as bad typers as I am, and they just miss the Shift key
